Your First Interview

Let's say you have put in a lot of effort into writing your CV and Cover Letter for your first job, you applied for jobs and have finally heard back from the employers for an interview! In most cases, you get called to an interview because your CV stands out from the other applicants and the recruiter would like to see whether you are the correct fit for the company you are applying to.

An interview is when you have a face to face opportunity to convince a potential recruiter that you are the right fit for the company. It is your opportunity to put your experience and skills into context and convince the recruiter that you are the person they have been searching for all along!
